The Rocklin MoldMender Micro Welder uses metallic tape, wire, paste, or powder to repair steel molds and tools. The Rocklin MoldMender Micro Welder is suitable for repairing plastic injection molds, rubber processing molds, and steel die-casting molds and tools. Typical applications include parting lines, corners, edges, pinholes, scratches, machining defects, and more. Repairs are made using a low-temperature, spark-free microwelding process. This creates a micro-weld with minimal heat exposure, eliminating shrink lines and other cosmetic defects. Microwelding a mold or tool is as simple as applying metallic tape, wire, paste, or powder to the area to be repaired. Then, simply roll the electrode over the surface to permanently bond the weld material to the workpiece. No previous welding or mold and tool repair experience is required!
